Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
Now. Do you wish to leave, or should I stop here?
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
[He gestures at the clothing rack.]
You'll want something inconspicuous, but I assume you have a great deal of experience with that already.
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
He's just going to get changed into something less flashy right there because Satin is clearly not real at this point so why be shy. (It's a little weird to see him without any scars.)
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
I'd also recommend bringing some cash over cards, if you have it available to you. Three hours is not much, but the traceability is still less.
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
He has to squirrel it out of many little hiding places, speaking of echoes.
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
Enough to buy a bag of peas from a corner store is fine.
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
"How much is that?"
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
Any more than five dollars and you are being grossly overcharged.
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
He puts like.
Most of the hidden cash back.
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
He still looks very hot and famous when he dresses down. There's simply no dimming the sun entirely. But he doesn't look necessarily like Totality Specifically at a glance.
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
[He waves his hand, taking in the dressing room and everything beyond.]
-- with all the obligations it brings.
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
He stops to think about it.
"That sounds nice."
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
[And, reasonably heartened by the lack of sound from the other side of the wall, he lifts his hand again.
As before, the sheet of drywall gives a quiet, crumbling protest... and lifts away, revealing a dim storage room, racks and racks of chairs waiting on trolleys for a different kind of event.]
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
Totality slides up so he can take Satin's arm in both of his in a sort of ironically cutesy gesture.
"So we just scoot through there...?"
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
[In gentlemanly fashion, he guides Totality through the largest gap between wires and pipes, and then turns -- moving the clothing rack back into place, and then shifting the sheets of drywall approximately back in place.
To someone looking for structural damage, it would be immediately obvious. But most people don't first look to see if an escaped celebrity pried open part of a wall.]
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
He seems a little excited now. The exhaustion hasn't left, but any kind of distraction is a good distraction for him.
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
[With the walls back in place, only the tiniest cracks of light filter through, leaving them in the dark.]
If you have troubles seeing, stay close. I can navigate us through here.
In my current life, I'm an astrologist -- I left Acidia years ago. Finding paths is something of a specialty.
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
[And he does, navigating through the dim area and back out to the corridors beyond.]
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
It's Umbra's heart, or dream, or mindscape. Surely there's a park with pigeons and ducks here somewhere.]
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
Re: [ PAVEMENT ]
Still... given the time and distance, this is not so bad.
