[Oh this is horrifying.

Going to the... dressing room? Please be safe.]

The closer you get to the dressing room, the more the anticipation turns to dread in the pit of your stomach, and the more security you see walking around. Strangely, they seem less concerned with you wandering in as they seem to be concerned with keeping someone from wandering out.

Near the door to the dressing room is a man in a suit, talking on the phone. He bears vague family resemblance to Jackson, and is arguing with someone on the other end of the call -

"No, you don't have to worry about it. Whatever it was you sent over last time shut him up for hours. ... Well, no, obviously we made sure it was safe. ... No, listen, we have medics on staff, we're not about to make pâté out of a goose's still layin', y'know? Yeah, yeah..."

- he's distracted, so you COULD sneak past him if you wanted. Or you could sneak away if you wanted.

[Aaaaaa hides. But also since powers are on, what does he get if he tries to read the guy's mind?]

This is Ray, Totality's maternal uncle and his manager.

His thoughts are odd because they're mostly guesses based on Jackson's understanding of how he thought, but he's annoyed his headliner keeps complaining about exhaustion, he's frustrated that his sister (Totality's mother, who is on the other end of the phone call) seems to ACTIVELY want his star act to suffer, and he mostly cares about making money. He's a little stressed because Solar Circle's touring schedule is jam-packed and even if the actual band feels it hardest, he also has to work the same schedule as them.

Also, lot of rock stars do a LOT of substance abuse, and Ray is not only aware Totality has A Problem with that but has actively leveraged and encouraged it to make him easier to control. He's not 100% responsible for it, but did make the active choice to encourage instead of discourage it.

[...If this is a heart game is he allowed to cheat and use Blessings too or nah.]

Use every single power. The heart is your oyster.

[He's just going to take Ray's current desire and switch it to "take care of Totality" for the next 4 minutes and if this gives him a migraine so be it.]

He stops talking on the phone and FROWNS DEEPLY, then hangs up and heads into the dressing room for a bit before leaving to go, like... get some water and maybe a blanket for him.

He's also going to sneak away for now.]

He is a sneaky bunny and nobody detains him. Where to?

The closer you get to the rest area out of the way, the more the nervous feeling turns to giddy excitement. From behind the door you can hear scurrying, plunking away on a piano (not any full songs), more scurrying, plunking away on a guitar (the same melodies as the piano)...

[Oooh, exciting! He'll take a lil peek why not.]

Inside is... Totality! But not the absolutely wasted mess version of his early 20s. This is a pre-debut excited fifteen year old Totality, bouncing around coming up with songs and testing how they sound. He's got enough energy that you can sort of tell that the excitement you're feeling comes directly from him.

He's very engrossed in the process and hasn't noticed you're there yet.

[Can he read bitty!Totality's info/thoughts? Just, like, watching from the doorway like a totally normal person.]

He can! They're mostly very straightforward. Does this melody work? Does it match the vocals? Can I hold onto the guitar part and the vocal part in my head? Does this sound good? Was that right? Try it again...

Beneath that stream-of-consciousness babble there's a strong passion and a desire to share this thing he loves - his music - with as many people as he can. Beneath THAT is a sort of desperate clawing desire for love and acceptance. You know. Sirens things.

[Oh. Yeah, that tracks.

He attempts to quietly close the door but just ends up catching his hoodie between door and frame and enacting a mild slapstick moment when he tries to step away.]

Ack!

Totality is ALERTED and turns to look.

"--Hi? You okay?"

[HECK.]

Um- yeah! Sorry! Didn't mean to interrupt!!

[Trying to pull his hoodie out aaaaaaaa]

"Are you stuck...?"

He puts down the guitar he was holding and comes over to help out.

[How could it be that continuing to pull on his hoodie instead of just opening the door to free it like a normal person is not working out for him.]

It's fine, I'm no one important anyway, I can get it!

He laughs, a bit incredulous.

"Why would you need to be important for me to help you? C'mere."

He reaches over and opens the door to free the hoodie.

[Yay freedom but oh no interactions]

Th-thank you... But also, I'm like a dust bunny, so you can just pretend I was never here!

"A dust bunny...? I don't really get it. It's fine if you're here, it's not like, a private room. Actually, as long as you're here I could use a sounding board... you're not busy or anything, right?"

I mean... I'm not, but I only recently learned how to read music so I'm not sure how useful I'd be-?!
