I'm guessin' if ya attended orientation in person it was probably just overlooked, but you can definitely email ta have a preference on file so ya don't keep gettin' invited ta retreats 'n networking events.

I mean it's fine ta just ignore invites or turn stuff down too, but with new members we'll sometimes come check up in person, especially if it's an amnesia case, ya know? I'm sure I got somethin' mixed up somewhere too [pats at his pockets where his phone is, just illustratively].

--Ah, ya wanna try your mango? I feel bad for interruptin' a nap--it looks like you've been studyin' like crazy.

Ah, yeah. I'll go cut it up. Did you want to try some too?

I really wanted ta try a little, it's a really fancy mango...

"Since you brought it all this way, we should share it."

He gets up and takes the mango to the little kitchenette to prep it.

[Will give him plenty of space to do that so as not to reactivate nerves. Does peek from across the counter or whatever at the fern though]

Do ya name your plants? [points at fern]

"Oh... some people do that, huh? I only have one, so it feels a little silly to name it..."

He's. Very careful with the knife when he cuts it up.

Heeh, it's lookin' pretty healthy though. Oughta get a lil' umbrella ornament for it even if it doesn't have a name.

"They make ornaments for them?"

He has now put the mango on a plate and starts to bring it back out.

[Hanging out across from fern.]

There's an umbrella for every occasion.

"I guess they do like shade...?"

He puts the plate down where Loren can reach, and puts two little forks next to it. ... and also eats a piece himself because yumyumyum.

Ah, we gotta explain umbrella messages, huh.

Straight up this is the best mango you've ever tasted. Possibly the best fruit you've ever tasted. It's fresh and ripe and sweet, like the platonic ideal of a mango.

"Umbrella messages?"

[oh no i've ruined mangoes for myself]

It's really good. Jackson has also been totally distracted with mango joy.

[forelorn] this is a really good mango...

"It's really good! It must have been just in season or something..."

Like it was straight off the tree.. Haah... Thanks for sharin'~ [to his forkful of fruit] I'll never forget you.

Naw, that's my secret technique for redoin' a first impression... It's good if ya feel welcome though! I'm here ta be a resource whenever ya'd like ta start tappin' inta the 'network' part of Cnet.

[Hopping up, one hand automatically picking up the plate if it's empty of mango now, the other patting himself down for his phone--]

[In his enthusiasm to both put the plate in the sink for Jackson and get out his phone to like text him a contact card, he manages to swipe the fern that was on the counter and it drops off the side--] Gah! [Loren also drops to the floor behind the counter, attempting to catch all three items, oops]

"Ah! Careful! You okay?"
