Everything is pretty street food, but sometimes street food in creation can be like, pho. Probably.

[Can disappear a bowl of pho into his non-detection field, but how does he present this to a kid who seems to think it is extremely important that he's on the clock...]

Good question. He probably doesn't get a lunch break.

[Well, maybe he will just be hungry enough. Swaps an empty bowl for a full one at the back of a pho stall and heads over to the tea cart. Just gonna... find an angle that doesn't have too much line of sight from the rest of the market stalls and wait for the kid to turn around before sticking his head out of his stealth field so he looks like a floating head, maybe part of a shoulder.]

Psst.

[sticks a hand out too to wave him over]

He looks over, sees a floating head, and startles.

"Uh-? H-hello?"

C’mere.

[disappears back behind his field]

He looks around anxiously, and then scoots over.

"E-excuse me?"

[Will expand the field so that he walks into it when he gets within a few feet, whereupon Loren is then fully visible holding a bowl of pho. He can smell the scent of it now too]

Mornin'. I don’t suppose ya’ve had any breakfast yet?

He's trying to be polite but he does openly stare at the food.

"Oh, um, n-not yet, I just started work so..."

Ah, right, I’m sure I’m interruptin'. I’m not here ta shop, though.

Here—[ah, his arm. Setting the bowl on a clear spot of the cart and then offering the pair of chopsticks that were sitting across the top]—if ya wouldn’t mind helpin' me out with some information.

He reaches automatically, but hoverhands a bit.

"What information do you need?"

I’m lookin' for a guy.

Aah, has a cane, and a beard like this [illustrative tracing on his own face], dark hair…

His hand freezes. Or well it stops moving but it sort of trembles.

"Um, is there a reason you want him?"

Oh, ya do know him? It shouldn’t be any of your business though—you just keep your head down!

[shifting so his holster jangles slightly]

He looks a little worried, but nods.

"He usually comes later in the morning. I-if you don't mind waiting."

I guess I have a little time. If ya finish that up I can go return the bowl.

"Are you sure it's okay?"

As he like. Is actively reaching with his good hand.

[Turns his head and shields his eyes]

[meanwhile ponders how to follow through on this now. Mmmmmmurder? Practice murder? Hmm;;]

Maybe there's a peaceful solution... teen Firuz finishes the soup in RECORD time. He was hungy.

It doesn't take long until The Bad Man comes down to check on how his sales are doing. Firuz immediately starts to scramble back to the booth so he can look busy.

[shoves Firuz (he’s pretty sure it’s Firuz at this point) down behind the cart, sticking a teapot in his hand before scuttling off, disappearing as he leaves his non-detect zone. Trying to estimate how long he has before the Bad Man opens his mouth.]
