As you approach he perks up, immediately coming in with all the typical street vendor confidence and charm, explaining how well crafted these are, pointing out that they sell leaves to go with, possibly making shit up about how they complement each other, etc.

He doesn't ever really sit still for very long, possibly because the one or two times he has to stop moving, he sort of, sways a little, and his hands tremble, like he's incredible exhausted.

good thing he pickpocketed that merchant earlier and has some cash on hand. he picks out a teapot and pretends to make a mistake counting it out, so he hands over more than he intended. He does not even HESITATE to do a little crime about it. It's a little clumsier than he probably normally is - he can only use one hand - but the extra money goes straiiight up his sleeve.
